Patch 2.0.2

Hi guys,

firstly, thanks for the appraisals. It's good to see how much fun you're all having. I do stress, take time to read the readme, and study the TARDIS Manual. It provides clues, tips and general rules on how to master the TARDIS.

So after looking at most of the glitches people have encountered, I believe 99.99999% of them are now fixed.

Download FWV 2.0.2 (Latest Patch) here

We're working feverently on the next big push, so keep following the blog and the forums for frequent updates.

ALL: PLEASE REDOWNLOAD THE PATCH DUE TO A FATAL FLAW IN ITS BEAUTY.

The far right allotment plot in the green house seems to be borked.

basil burke said...

Demeggy i had to start a new game for this file is there another way i can download the patch without starting a new game.

Oliver Harper said...

What do you mean you had to start a new game? Would it not load your save?

basil burke said...

no the game started the quest again after i disabled the esp and started the game and saved the game and then came back out and enabled the esp the quest started.

Oliver Harper said...

It's because you disabled and then saved its as if the mods been uninstalled

Oliver Harper said...

You could load a save before you deleted it and try it like that however I believe there can be certain glitches if you have a borked save like I have had so many times :') Either way I daresay demeggy will get back to this so see his input :)

basil burke said...

Why do i have the dev test thing on the console

Anonymous said...

How many levels are there for the piloting skill?

Spyduck said...

You don't need to disable the old ESP and save for the minor bugfix updates, just when going from FWV 1 to FWV 2.

To the dev test thing comment: Congratulations! You're one of the 26 lucky people who downloaded Demeggy's borked update file. Update again, please! (it's nothing you did wrong.)

Has anyone made it to skaro? I killed a Dalek in the Tardis, but would like to kill more.

I'm having another problem where I cannot regenerate.. I think it's due to earlier on where I was promoted with the option to regenerate, I clicked regenerate now and nothing happened. I did have a successful regeneration before that though, but I only wanted to see it and loaded a previous save after I regenerated.

Liam said...

Oh yeah and I'm still having a problem when trying to go back to the nautical theme, where I get stuck in a kind of.. squashed together Tardis.

Sean Barry said...

Peter Davison's hat is still borked for me, and the garden won't decontaminate itself, even if I wait a full in-game day to pull the lever.

Carlos Daniel Ferrer said...

Jeez!
I was playing with the TARDIS "Fast Vworp" and most of the time I see some unwanted guests on my blue box....
I love the models, and I see you added something that was supposed to be a suprise......I see what you did there....

Space Time Throttle Bugged and is now useable

So far the mod has been exemplar. From the outfits, to the smaller references, and different desktop themes everything feel thematic, and cool. Although I had a few points of confusion at times, the many additions add many very fun elements. The dog fighting was confusing at first, but became habit quite quickly, and piloting of the tardis has achieved a perfect balance between fun/panic, and feeling like you're actually piloting a tardis. My only problem I have not been able to fix (even with the latest patch) Is that when I try and follow the instructions to pilot to Skaro, nothing happens and I'm unable to use navigate manually anywhere even though I've reach level 5 piloting (Up until then it says I'm too low of a level). Regardless, from getting to battle actual cyberment and daleks, to discovering references to old doctor who; the whole thing has been awesome lol (Though you are seriously messing up my finales schedule with this release.)

Anonymous said...

I am a level 9 pilot, how do I get to Skaro? Do I get a message? Thanks. This mod is great. I love everything about it.Still trying to navigate the tardis interior :)

Anonymous said...

I got to Skaro through defeating a ship and scanning its data core or whatever. BTW love this beautiful, amazing totally wizard mod!

Kris said...

Cheers guys, yeah, pelase do redownload and replace the update .esp as instructed by Spyduck.

You don't need to disable the mod first, just replace the .esp

Mister Master said...

hi just wondering will there be a fix for the sonic as i cannot use the reacal funtion all i get when it is selected is mode not available

Anonymous said...

I have a problem and I don't know if it's a bug or not. In the Nautical and classic themes there is a small bip every second and it's pretty annoying. Can you help ?

basil burke said...

also for me the cloister bell light in classic control room is still on and it says i have to refuel the tardis for 2 minutes even though have been just refueling over and over again.

Mister Master said...

i found all cubes and bottles and skaro and kahn this mod is awsome

basil burke said...

i mean repair it

kik4444 said...

So I just started playing and I'm not sure if this was intended or it's a bug. So when I'm done with Doc Mitchell, I walk for a few seconds and the tardis appears and "The Stranger" comes out of it and says HEY, after which I can clearly see the subtitles of what he's saying but I can't actually hear him say them. The only voice I can hear from him is the 1st word he says - HEY. So is him not having a voice a bug or was it intended? Cause it kinds of ruins the immersion seeing him do gestures and stuff but not actually talking.

basil burke said...

they didnt have any voice actors

Anonymous said...

The recall option has a cooldown time. I think it's 24 hours? I waited 24 hours and it allowed me to summon the Tardis. It's a mature choice, as the recall was a little OP.

Felix Mackle said...

How does one begin the introductory quest? Two people appeared in the TARDIS, but I know that's not how it's meant to happen, so I've started another game... I'm just wondering how to start the mod? If anyone could help, I would be grateful.

Experimantal Brony said...

I have a little problem, my TARDIS landed when I met a ship, and so it's attacking me without letting me ripost since I can't prompt any attack etc... And my TARDIS was taking damages even when I exited it! Also, during flight, the proximity scan button disapear once clicked when prompted, so it's a one time use and it reappears once landed.

Carlos Daniel Ferrer said...

Yup, it happened to me yesterday, one of the few bugs I found, also, I don't know if that's a problem with the game or not, but I was playing the game normally and I didn't realise I was not taking damage. But then I found the Daleks on the TARDIS, who couldn't kill me as the damage was "off", I reloaded the save and it fixed it.
Also, what the astro thingy does?
It turned all the ship lights off for me, and now they can't be turned on again... (unless you reload the save :P)

Anonymous said...

Just used up all my regenerations at once(The Van Graffs, nuff said), and now I have become a ghoul.I like it!

Felix Mackle said...

Also, I have a glitch with the voice interface. it says "Follow me," and when I talk to her again, she just says "What do you need?" and my only option is to say goodbye... Any help?

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know how to fix the aforementioned bug where the nautical theme becomes smushed together on the inside?

I have experienced this on 1.0 just once but it seems to have a 1 in 5 chance of it occurring in 2.0.

Fantastic job by the way.

Anonymous said...

Are all the cubes and encyclopedias in the TARDIS ?

Anonymous said...

Is it intended that all combat skills get permanently set to 0 when you become a Time Lord?
Because that happened to me, and regardless of whether I stay a Time Lord or revert to human they stay at 0. All combat skills and Repair

John Knight said...

is the ability to recruit a companion in yet? or is that yet to come< ive noticed you can make the keys but they dont seem to do much

basil burke said...

where are the cubes i have found eight out of 11 and i believe i have been to all the rooms but i am not sure is there one on skaro or karn. and also is there a way t fix the lighting for the nautical and classic control rooms as in its red like it has taken damage but i have auto repaired but after it still appears red like it has taken damage and when i check the auto repair it says it will take to minutes like the one i just did previously.

Anonymous said...

I have the same bug about the lighting

Anonymous said...

How do you get to skaro

Anonymous said...

my characters face does not change during regeneration

Anonymous said...

I don't know if this was a glitch, but there does not appear to be a limit on regeneration. After 12 regenerations, we can regenerate a 13th time and become a ghoul. I can still regenerate as many times as I want, but I remain a ghoul. I thought you could only go beyond 12 regenerations once, but I have regenerated 19 times so far(Daleks, no suprise).

Carlos Daniel Ferrer said...

I just destroyed a ship and selected the "probe the data" ( or something like that) and now I have the coordinates to Skaro YAY

Anonymous said...

Once you have the coordinates to skaro how do u get there

Carlos Daniel Ferrer said...

Game-breaking bug!
I just found the 10th hypercube (after regenerating, of course, also the regeneration doesn't seem to be random, I think at least the hair should've changed...), and now, I changed the sonic's case to the 10th doctor's sonic (duh), but when I selected it, it crashed the game!
I'll try again now to see if that's really a bug.

martindarudeboy_93 said...

Loving this so far :) found all the cubes and the couple secret ones ;) there might be more for all i know lol and Im a time lord, not regenerated yet though lol but i have to say since the patch the bottles you can pick up once you go time lord mode, one is stuck in the toilet, i cant do anything to get it out lol and Im only two away from having them all inculding that one lol

Carlos Daniel Ferrer said...

Yup, the 10th Doctor's screwdriver crashes the game :P

Carlos Daniel Ferrer said...

And....
The "wardrobe TARDIS" crashes the game too...

Sean Barry said...

I haven't had the Tenth Doctor sonic crash the game... neither did the wardrobe TARDIS when I entered it.

Are you running 2.0.2? If so, are you running other mods?

Carlos Daniel Ferrer said...

Yes and no, I tried launching the game with no mods (of course I didn't disable FWV, that would be silly) and it didn't work.
know....Maybe.....
Okay I have no idea of what's going on, I guess I'll re-install the game and try it out.

John Smith said...

I can't even start the mod I removed the first one saved added the second one then loaded my game and also tried starting a new game. If I walk any direction a couple steps my char will freeze the tardis appears and then I stay frozen while nothing happens. In the new game I go through character creation get the pip boy then if I leave the house and take a few steps or move back while in the house the same thing happens. Help please.

Carlos Daniel Ferrer said...

Reinstalled the game, still crashes.
And I think NVSE is updated too.
So I guess I'm missing something...
Oh, by the way, I also re-downloaded the patch and the mod itself, so I would be entirely sure if it's not outdated.

Sean Barry said...

Hmmm.

Only other things I can think of would be to actually go to the NVSE site and get the script extender again (just to be safe), and then just in case, pick up the FNV4GB.exe thing from the Nexus. That's what I use to prevent normal crashes, maybe it's a factor here.

Kris said...

Bear in mind its not the LATEST STABLE NVSE you need, its the beta 4.x version as stated in the readme

Anonymous said...

Is wave 3 out yet? XDDD

basil burke said...

how do u get in side the wardrobe tardis do u need to be a timelord or do need to create spare keys and can u change dekstops in the wardrobe tardis. thanks

Sean Barry said...

The key to the wardrobe TARDIS is hidden in the fireplace in the galley. Just turn it off and on, and the key will fall to the floor.

Felix Mackle said...

Does anyone know where to find the "future you" ? I've got no idea where the Stranger is, and I'd very much like to begin playing Wave II.

How do I upgrade my bio level fast...any suggestions?

Batman said...

VERY good mod.

A "Bug" that I have encountered would be that, when holding back regeneration, during the 3 minutes, the particles would be behind the player instead of actually on them.

It obviously isn't game-breaking, but I just wanted to point it out.

Some additions I would like, if you are accepting quick ideas, would be a "Power off lever" in the TARDIS. Just for general role-play purposes.

Another would be a "Clean-Up lever" to clean up the bodies of aliens in the TARDIS.

Thanks for reading.

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know how to fix the space time throttle when it becomes unusable?

Oliver Harper said...

Guys just as general reference, this mod requires all previous versions to be removed, like 1.0x files... Completely not just over written best idea is to remove them all then start over fresh slate otherwise you will get silly bugs, also don't overload your game with mods or once again you will end up with bugs everywhere.. I had to take a few off but don't have problems now and that was through the beta..

The Monitor said...

I've read through most of the comments, so I'm sure this hasn't been posted yet (Though it might just be me that's experiencing it.)
I've noticed two bugs:

*One, the bioscanner in the sickbay does not clear radiation like it says it does. I have tried this on two different saves, with varying levels of radiation from minor (~50 rads) to advanced (500+ rads) and both human and Gallifreyan physiologies, still not working for me. Again, not sure if it's just me that it's not working for, though.

*Two, the Classic desktop theme does not play the looping TARDIS sound when traveling. It plays the takeoff sound, and the landing sound, but it's entirely silent inbetween the two. Again, I have tested this on two separate saves, and it doesn't play the sound at all.

These are relatively minor and not gamebreaking at all, seeing as there are other ways to clear rads, and if you really want the looping travel sound you can use a different desktop theme. But just figured I'd point these out on the off chance it's an actual bug and not a borked install on my part. Thanks in advance, and thanks for all the hard work!

-The Monitor

Anonymous said...

The reason the classic theme doesn't make travel sounds is because the classic tardis ( at least the 80s theme which its based) didn't make travel sounds, so i just assumed they stayed faithful to that...

Kris said...

Thanks Monitor for the indepth feedback, as the above anon states, the 2nd is intentional :)

As for the first, much appreciated, I actually forgot to disable the medscanner for 2.0.2 so I'll be doing that for 2.0.3

For everyone else; there are many bugs and then there are many installation faults, and finally many ways os misunderstanding gameplay; so please ensure its installed correctly and that youve cleared any previous saves and traces of FWV from your directory. Also ensure you read the TARDIS Manual thoroughly :)

2.0.3 will bring some hefty bug fixes that have plagued the build so far, but luckily 80% of the feedback is free of major bugs.

Enjoy!

How do you update the mod ? I've tried replacing the old fwv.esp by the new one but it doesn't seem to have change in game. The fifth doctor's hat still bug and the 8th doctor's screwdriver too.

Kris said...

replacing the .esp will do the job. whats your 8th doctor screwdriver issue?

Carlos Daniel Ferrer said...

The fith doctor's hat is still bugged for me.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get the vortex manipulator?

Payne Uchiha said...

hi just updated to the new version i downloaded the patch and just started the flight tutorial , but i cant find the handbrake and the blue glow isnt showing up, any ideas whats wrong ive looked around the console and and i cant find it anywhere

Carlos Daniel Ferrer said...

Oh god!
Sorry for the confusion guys.
There was something wrong with my save file, that was causing the game to crash.
But, the hat is really still bugged, I'm pretty sure of that.

Jack Daives said...

I am currently wearing the 5th doctors hat, on my ear... (Any celery stalk?)

Whilst walking through the corridors, I was jumping since it's my favorite way of traveling. When one jump killed me. Just a normal jump on the ground and then I heard that bone crunching sound and death :(

Tock said...

Hi guys,

Here's a fix for the 5th Doctors hat.

Thanks Demeggy for the response. I didn't know the second thing was intentional, now I feel pretty silly.

Try upgrading your engineering and bio skills.

Felix Mackle said...

It would appear that I have a major bug that does not allow the mod to commence. After I leave Doc Mitchell's house, nobody visits me to tell me where the TARDIS is. I've tried restarting it, reinstalling both the game and the mod, reloading saves and so on...
I hope you look into it, as I'm sure I'm not the only one with the bug.
Thanks.

Felix Mackle said...

And, in case you're wondering, I don't have any other mods running.

The Sainted Physician said...

Are you using NVSE? if so try reinstalling it.

Also you probably would get better support over at the forums.

Felix Mackle said...

I have reinstalled NVSE - and have used the recommended version of it - so I'll try the proborads. :) Thank you.

i got only one bug in the game, except for the one mansion by Monitor , it's about the bottle in the swimming pool, it's unreachable, it's stuck in and under the toilet

I managed to get to it by activating noclip but yeah I think this should be fixed as well.

My problems have been solved, and minus the lag my computer's experiencing, I'm enjoying this mod very much. Thanks so much Demeggy, Spyduck and the rest of the team.

Is it possible to fix the Glitch with the button that allows you to fight ships with the TARDIS defenses because for some reason it disappears out of random even with the new Update I put on which is 2.0.2

RottenApple said...

Is there any way to cheat in experience for tardis piloting and crafting skills? I mean sitting around for 2 hours getting my level up to 5 is fun and all, however not when you've had to restart 3 times because something bugged out. The mod is fantastic! However I'd like to just skip past all of the temporal engineering when things stop working and I have to restart. Is there a way to do that?

Oliver Harper said...

Unfortunately I don't think there is and yeah trial and error and sometimes you do have to restart but that's just fallout I'm on my 17th playthrough of new vegas probably if not more and for the beta I had 4/5 saves in a day, honestly you feel much better if you do it yourself

Anonymous said...

How so you get to Skaro or how do you find daleks and cybermen

Oliver Harper said...

Just fly the tardis and it will all be clear :)

Anonymous said...

I am having the same problem as Felix Mackle (and maybe others) no tardis appearing so no quest beginning, I am running the correct version of NVSE and have a clean install of FWV and the patch. I'll try to reinstall of NVSE. If any of you fellow travelers have any suggestions that will be very helpful! Thanks!
