Beta 1.0: What is PXP?
PXP (Piloting Experience Points) are allocated for everything you do during a trip in the TARDIS.
It's really very simple; you're awarded PXP for making the right moves, and reprimanded by losing PXP for all the wrong ones.
PXP allows your character to level up with his or her TARDIS Piloting. At current, there are a meager 10 levels of Piloting to achieve, but every odd Level reveals something new for you to sink your teeth into.
Be it gaining access to a new mode of flight, uncovering a new schematic for some fangled Who gadget or simply being able to flick the Shields on and off, the system has been balanced out precisely to allow those that put the effort in a successful outcome.
As it stands, PXP is currently calculated on the below basis:
For every level of Piloting you possess, the amount of PXP required to reach the next doubles. This means that by constant grinding, again.. as it stands... you can hit the Level 10 cap, and reap its reward in approximately 55 continuous, uninterrupted minutes of Real-Time flight.
Note: The basis on which PXP is calculated may be altered for a more challenging outcome shortly before Beta 1.0
