Last week, I spoke with Spyduck for the first time in months. As expected, his work life has been crazy, as has mine, and we agreed that things with the mod were starting to come to a close.
However, as everyone's been so patient and expectant, we also agreed to finish it off to a relatively close approximation.

So, with that in mind, we're planning on a couple of things.

The first thing is to get Regen out as quickly as possible. So this is how it's going to work.

- We're going to review the mod's current build state today
- We're going to evaluate what needs locking out from the next intermediary release
- We're then going to refine and develop Regeneration so that it's practically bug free

We're also going to remove Vortex travel, and replace it with Drift Mode, the space based flight system I was working on before the 50th Anniversary.

We're also going to consider 'mod wipe'. Mod wipe is an unfortunate side effect of a WIP mod. This will mean that the progress you've made with your character and the TARDIS, will become redundant. Piloting and Engineering stats may be reset, but all for the greater good.

The intention of locking out content is also to prevent you from ruining the experience for yourself later on, if and when we decide to release the quest and monster content. Currently, I'd say thats around 80% complete, with 6 out of the 7 monster quests implemented and their post-Monster encounters vaguely scripted.

For now though, I want to focus specifically on Regeneration. Expect an update next weekend as to where we go with it. In an ideal world, Regeneration is 24 hours away, but the unfortunate aspect of the other features is that we need to lock off and refine bug issues from the other systems that will hamper your gameplay.

Just focusing on Regeneration and refining flight for now. Will approach that as it comes.

Mod wipe sounds like the the best way to avoid problems. Good idea.

Hi, I was just thinking that since you guys are planning to remove any bugs, I thought I might bring some things to light. When I play you fantastic mod, I find three things happen. 1. my companions hate the travelling in the tardis and will commonly run into a corner and upon exiting may run all the way into the mojave. 2. for some reason only the hacking and lockpicking works on only the Sonic screwdriver, nothing works on the Laser. and finally 3, for some reason, my progress to the next temporal piloting level and engineering level goes into the negative and I can't gain access to further skills (sonic and tardis upgrades). I'm not sure if it is part of an incorrect installation of NVSE or if this is a common thing. PLEASE HELP

I have the second bug, I can't use the laser screwdriver, then I threw it(bad idead cause the guy I was going to kill picked it up and tried to kill me), however, I posted something about the third bug in the forums, and someone said that it wasn't a bug, when you get level 11 in piloting, the skill points goes negative, and they become lower each time you travel without auto-pilot,
that's because level 11 is the last level in this mod for piloting(I guess that temporal engineering is too), and if you are in a level lower than 11(like me, I am level 10 in T.E, once, I was travelling with the TARDIS, and accidentally opened the pilot log book, when this happened, I realized that I was level 11 in piloting and had -660 skill points, and in T.E too, but after crashing the TARDIS and crafting stuff in the workshop, the level returned to normal, and now I need more 700 points to level up to level 10 in T.E

Cool, I was really excited about regeneration anyways! I'm glad you guys are getting at least some of the stuff out, you should both take a long vacation from all of this, and maybe come back to it when you find free time in your lives? Who knows? I do have one question though: are the new clothing sets and the classic console coming with this last update? I've been really excited about those.

Hey Humancatpost!

I'm pretty sure mr.D will include some of the outfits I did. Unfortunetly, I don't think I'll have enough time to have all the doctors at once. I haven't sent him 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th yet. And companions at a later date too (after loosing my old pc+outfit, it's been a struggle to get back into it). Lemme get some coffee and I try Baker and Davison tonight/today/nosleep :) Take care bro!

Thanks for the reply! Best of luck on those, I really love what I've seen from you so far!

The thing with my game is the way to reverse this bug didn't work, I have never heard of the auto pilot (unless you mean the programmed flight) and my laser screwdriver wouldn't work straight from the start. I tried doing all the things you mentioned but to no avail. yet again, PLEASE HELP

By any chance, did you play around with the "secret" debug computer (outside Aquatic room) of FWNV version before the patch? I did notice the same symptoms after doing that :(

I didn't even know there was an aquatic room (unless you mean the pool) and I rarely used it. The swimming was nice but I was pre-occupied with completing quests, let alone using the 'secret' debug computer, no that you mention it, would it have any effect that could potentially reverse this problem?
