Development Update

Evening all,

So it's been a busy week outside of the mod for both Spyduck and I, with Spyduck being tied up in work and me ending an old career and starting a new one (hectic crazy!). Thanks for all your wishes, the transition's tiring, but challenging!

So, where are we with the mod?

Well, Spyduck and I set out a little plan of sorts at the weekend with where we want to take the next big update, so, without further ado...

Greetings, from Mount Perdition.

Lifted straight from the TARDIS Wikia
"Mount Perdition was a mountain on Gallifrey. Its slopes were covered with vast fields of red grass. The Master (and, presumably, the Doctor) grew up near here;"
Now don't read too much into this. As you can see, we've started getting a chunk of the Gallifreyan worldspace in-game; we're still a long way from getting it perfect, the grass needs thickening, the silver trees need refining, the skies not quite that burnt orange we wanted, and the gleaming Citadel of the Time Lords is sitting as an LOD .nif on Spyduck's HDD... but I wanted to share these early dev screens with you to demonstrate the scope of FWV's future.

As to how exactly you'll get there, speculate away.

More info coming over the next couple of weeks, with hopefully some tasty new screens and exclusive previews from GamerMasterHellish.

D

This looks superb. I've been playing this mod for a while now and I have to say it's amazingly awesome. However there's a few bugs I've come across:

1. The 3rd allotment pot to the right in the garden can't be interacted with at all.
2. Occasionally (once or twice) the space/time throttle can't be interacted with and it requires loading a previous save before it can be used again.
3. The game crashes when I equip the sonic screwdriver after changing the casing to number 10's.
4. The vortex manipulator can't be upgraded at all. The button to upgrade it appears when in the workshop at the upgrade table but once clicked, nothing happens.
5. I've found all 12 Encyclopedia Galifreya bottles except for some reason the 12th bottle isn't on the shelf in the master bedroom.
6. The Encyclopedia Galifreya bottle in the eye of harmony room cannot be collected unless you're in no clip; sometimes, once collected this way, it results in being stuck along an invisible vertical line.
7. The temporal coordinates function where you can seemingly select what time in the day you arrive at a location either doesn't work, isn't obvious when you activate it during launch or has some other mysterious function that isn't obvious.
8. When using the random outfit generator in the wardrobe, I've come across an outfit that, whilst wearing it, can't be found in your inventory. It looks like a long beige raincoat with white shirt and tie. This is either a bug or a deliberate thing.
9. The radiation pills that you can made in the TARDIS lab that will apparently give you thousands of rad resistance points don't work at all.

PS: I've installed the mod and the NVSE correctly.
PPS: I'm sure some/most of these are known about but you never know.

Sorry, another bug...
Normal TARDIS flight until there was an anomaly I responded to but flight immediately ended as I pressed the Proximity sensors, I exited the TARDIS to find the world shaking, after a reload of a save it stopped but then both types of flight cannot be engaged but TARDIS recall still works. All Repairs and Artron Banks refill are possible. What should I do?

Well i have done it. I can now regenerate I have both sonic and lazer screwdriver, Fob watch and vortex manipulator. Im one happy timelord...

Demeggy, could you release the TARDIS Manual in PDF format so we can have it open when we pilot the TARDIS?

i have the same problem as Mean Mister Walrus, except for number 3

Every allotment works fine, they just have very small area to press E

What are the bottles suposed to do and where do you take them???

I've narrowed down the space/time throttle problem. It seems to be that if the TARDIS is refuelling and you enter another area that requires a loading screen to enter it and then return to the TARDIS once it has refuelled, the space-time throttle can't be interacted with. The prompt that says 'Space/time throttle' when you hover your cross hair over it no longer appears. The only way to fix it is reload a save before you refuelled the TARDIS; especially infuriating if you've done a lot of missions since that save. Is there any way to fix this bug?
