Dear Community

To the Community,

What a journey it has been. Some of you have been with me from the very beginning, lots of you have stayed the course and remained dedicated as it's fluctuated between long periods of inactivity.

So, this is it. A long silence from me, can't be great right? It's quite a melancholy post this, as I write to confirm my withdrawal from Fallout Who.
The mod may live on, but not on here. Not through this blog of many pages. I have every faith that Spyduck will carry on my legacy and reignite the FWV Flame, so for that I implore you to keep watching the forums.

I've grown up I'm afraid; don't quite have the time to dedicate anymore. Between an incredibly demanding career, and personal relationships, I have to bow out gracefully whilst I can, and not leave you all dangling.

Thankyou all for your support during the rough periods, and the inspiration and enthusiasm. There's too much for me to cram into here to convey my gratitude.

Working on the mod for the better part of 5 years now has taught me many things, and helped me build some fantastic friendships around the world.

A small lesson in modding back in 2009 that turned into something quite fantastic really.
I've been proud of everything I achieved, and all that I delivered.

I'll miss it, and I'll miss the community, but as once famously said; One day, I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine.

With a great knot in my throat, I'll finally sign off.

Thankyou.

Chris Lupton, Demeggy

Thank you for all the hard work and dedication you have put into this shining gem of a mod, you have succeeded where developer upon developer has failed (My Opinion) in capturing the true feel of the TARDIS in a game environment.

So good luck with your career and every other aspect of your life and thank you for what you have created.

We all wish you the very best from life Mr. Demeggy! And we all proudly salute you... Well, over a keyboard anyway. Unless someone, somewhere actually is saluting. Good for them.

"He always says that"
While this would be only one of my few contributions, as I have only been following the mod since 2012, I feel like this has been much more of an adventure that I'd ever dreamed of.
You are the Doctor, the mod is the TARDIS and I am ever grateful to have been one of your many companions.
Good luck, so long and have a fantastic life.

Hi Chris, I can only concur with what others have said. Your work has been amazing; a mod that delivered everything I could want in a Doctor Who game. I remember excitedly checking the blog every day to see what new info (if any) had been revealed.

Can't believe it's been so long though; where has the time flown to?!

All the best with your future endeavours - perhaps one day, we shall see you here again?

All the best.

As someone once said -"don't cry because it's over, laugh because it happened". Thanks for all the hard work, mate.

I should be sad by this but I'm not. I'm happy that you have created something wonderful for us all to enjoy and happy that you're moving on and on your way to the next great adventure. See you around the universe Demeggy! =)

I salute you, sir. And we shall guard your TARDIS with our lives.

Very sad to hear about your departure. I wish you all the best in the life you now choose to live. Perhaps you'll materialise somewhere with us once or twice in the future, one can never tell.
We'll miss you, Demeggy. To the very best of times.

As someone who jumped for joy from the release of the last child of gallifrey, it is a sad sad day to see you step down. You've been a Legend and it has been a privilege to watch this mod develop.
Rest now my warrior, Rest now your hardship is over.

Whilst I've only been following this for about a year now, and been a member for even less, I can appreciate how much time and effort you have sacrificed this mod. You truly have created a masterpiece.

I wish you well in everything you have planned for the future and hope everything turns out just as you had planned, and better.

Just remember one thing; you were fantastic. And do you know what? So were we (the members) ;D

Perhaps we'll see you over on the forums from time to time, eh?

Goodbye, and good luck

I just want to say a big thanks. I've followed this mod since Last Child in Fallout 3. It gave me a good glimpse at I world that I've been looking at since being a small child in Idaho, watching Tom Baker episodes with my Grandpa. And I will forever be grateful for it.

I'm about 24 now, and it's one part of me that has never changed, never grown up, and probably never will. Never lost that sense of wonder that kid's get as often as adults seem to be cynical. Since I started watching Doctor as kid who I've been to jail, lost friends to Drug overdoses and other people's anger, and feel in love more than once, and many other things both good and bad. Only mention this to make my point that I've acquired many reasons to be cynical myself, doctor who has always helped me with it, your project has never once been been a reason for me to feel cynical in the least, and has in fact given me reason to feel that childlike wonder for a little bit that I get during good episodes of Doctor Who. Thank you for you many hours spent over the years, the useless stress I'm sure happened at points, though I hope it really was fun too. Thanks for the gift of you time, to Spyduck, and others who put time into it too of course, but definitely you too. There is plenty of life out there to live, live it, and my best wishes with you. Ever need a drinking buddy in the States you'd be more than welcome to drink with me.

Seems fitting to leave on a Doctor Who quote "We all change. When you think about it, we are all different people, all through our lives. And that's ok, that's good, you gotta keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be."

Great! It looks awesome and it's really great! Make more console rooms haha. Hell. Get Creative and make you own and it also stays true to the lore. The TARDIS has numerous console rooms and is always creating and destroying more of them.

Huh Joseph... did ya actually read the blog?

Yes, thank you Groot. We all know Demeggy is a valued member of the Fallout modding community. But what does the fact that you just ate a bucket of fertilizer have anything to do with it?

Star Lord said...

Rocket! Groot! Keep it down. We're not even meant to be here.
Although I do agree with Groot on his first point.

Also, why is there a big blue box in my cargo hold?

Demeggy, I must say that you are one of the most amazing people I've ever had the pleasure of following. Thank you for all your hard work, sir -- you've more than earned your rest.

I sincerely hope your future endeavors bring you much success and prosperity. :)
