ANC: Manual/Guide Writer Wanted

Hi all,

Another day and another development for the project. I've been giving some thought recently to the mod and have decided to bring aboard a 3rd member to the team.

As with LCOG, FOWV is intended to be a fully simulated version of the TARDIS.

To this end, an indepth user guide will be required.

I am looking for a writer with excellent grammar and design skills to create an official guide to.every aspect of the project.

The writer will have access to current betas, along with access to.mod content as its developed.

To register your interest, post in the comments below.

Cheers,

Kris

Wow; though I'd like to be involved in this capacity, my design skills are pretty woeful. Great to hear that things are coming along, however.

I like to think I'm fairly good at the language, so consider this my application. Email me for working samples.

I think my writing skills are legitimate enough to be an official writer for your mod, just email me some info for qualifications and i'll get back to you, thanks for your time.

Hmm sure, I would like to put my name forward.

Grand, glad to hear it. I'll firstly need your email addresses to send out a sample template that I need filling in and sending back. The sooner the better really, there's no immediate deadline so feel free to expand on your creative juices.

I'd like you to send me a template!
While I'm not English and it is definitely not my mother language, I'd say I am pretty damn near-fluent at it.

Shoved my E-mail into the URL.

hey all, apologies to do this to you but I just don't have the time to draft up a template. Thus, the request is changing.

I'd like you to all e-mail me a 3 page sample of your take on how to fly the TARDIS as seen in Fallout Who (Fallout 3).

Convert it to PDF and send to 'aunty_jesus@hotmail.com'

Don't forget, design and grammars the key thing here.

ps. any questions, fire away

Zerograv said...

Hmm just a quick questions, what main functions of the TARDIS do you want this guide to cover?

Kris said...

The application Guide? Just your standard randomiser flight procedure will do thanks :)

Zerograv said...

Ah ok, now I just need to remember how to start the thing flying =P oh well back to fallout 3! But yeah I thought was asking for the whole TARDIS, E.g. the kitchen and wardrobe (why you would need a manual for that i will never know but oh well)

The chosen writer for the guide will be required to talk about the areas of the ship in the released version, but for this entry guide just flight will do :)

I'm interested in helping, but what sort of time constraints are we looking at for this? As you can see I've got a handle of the English language. I've also got some design experience, I can keep things looking sci-fi and relevant to the TARDIS' design aspects. I can't say I'd be the fastest worker, but I can say I'm confident in my design skills.
I've set this to email any follow ups, and I believe you know me as Jeffman12 on ModDB.

Hi there mate, at the moment if you can just get your entry in we can work from there.

The chosen writer will be working in parallel with the mod, which at current has no fixed release date, but will be a couple of months in progress (April/May time most likely).

They'll need to be very contactable and able to have a finished product in time for release.

http://jeffman12.wordpress.com/2011/01/24/my-entries-for-the-fallout-who-tardis-manual/ I didn't catch that bit about including the flight portion. I'll be working on a newer version of page layout using actual instructions and not just gibberish.
