It's a Wrap

So,

Wave One is officially complete, however as with development, there's bugs to iron out. Normally, as it's a WIP Beta release, I'd throw caution to the wind and release, however we want to get this near perfect.

As soon as we're happy with it, we'll let you know

It is soon (theoretically.. as life has a way of screwing up plans) to be released is what they mean... But that will depend on when they feel it is best for it to go public.

Dracony said...

Awsome work guys! Soon, after 2 years of work it will be released. And you will all have your rest! :-)

Unknown said...

kris...after this you and the team take the looongest break youve ever had, because you quite frankly deserve a few holidays!!!!

Dracony said...

So true! <3

but I want to play it now wtf!!!!!1

Anonymous said...

I don't want to wait a whole week again :((((((((((((((((

Unknown said...

Do you want to play the Mod with bugs ? or a nice clean smooth running mod ;)

but well done :D cant wait to play (:

Cwang92 said...

I agree with Mr. Thompson. Good things take time. You wouldn't eat a pie that was still thawing would you?... Because I cetraintly wouldn't. Hmmm.. pie.

SavingLiam said...

The anticipation...

Anonymous said...

on a scale to 1 to 100 how much bugs do you need to fix and I am fine with a buggy release :D cant wait

Unknown said...

not sure what I'm more excited about, this or metal gear solid 5 both pretty high up there

Anonymous said...

To all who are involved in this amazing mod i say thank you <3 Ive been waiting since the beginning and i have to say thank you so much for sticking with it and putting up with the whinging and the bullshit from complainers. your doing a better job in a mod then a whole company does with money behind them and lots of workers <3 YOU GUYS ARE GREAT ... LOOK FORWARD TO IT :D >> Shadox_Ninja

Cheers all, there's a handful of bugs we want to isolate. Some gamebreaking, some just plain ugly, but we'll work on getting them removed before releasing.

Kris, I recommend a nice high quality fly-swatter to get rid of those pesky bugs.

Anonymous said...

'till yor're happy with it? This is gonna be a lo~ong lime.

Kris said...

Limes are tasty, but yes, it may take time. Depends how long it takes to fix it :)

Anonymous said...

Kris How Long Do U Think It Will Take To Fix On Your Personal Opinion

Kris said...

Depends how quickly we get the bugs out. The problem with development in ANY scenario, not just gaming, is that you come across bugs and general issues. I feel we've got the balance perfect now, so it's just a case of getting some of the issues sorted.

I'm refusing to give myself a deadline after the fiasco of the 30th.

Anonymous said...

Okay Thank You Kris

DoctorWhose said...

Kris, do you think you would have been able to meet the deadline if you wouldnt have become sick beforehand?

I am just asking because you seemed so confident of the 30th for the longest time and now it does take a week+ longer than expected.

Please dont take this the wrong way, just curious :)

Kris said...

I never stated the sickness caused the delay, it certainly didn't help though.
Life has a problem of getting in the way, as do bugs that randomly crop up.
The one key thing I've learnt from this is to never give you lot release dates... :)

DoctorWhose said...

Haha, true that, thats why we get so many bad games these days. Rushed out of the door by arbitrary release dates set by publishers who want to rake in their monthly profits and nothing else.

Unknown said...

i remember how exiting 'd-day' was, (lcog release) this is even more exiting than that!!!

Cinnykitty said...

(Smiles) I'm happy to know that it finished up on the day that I leave for boot camp. Definately worth the wait just for that trailer

THANKS DEMEGGY!!

for all your hard work.

Kitsudragon said...

Looking forward to the mod. Just finished leveling a character to about 10 or so, with the (GRA) MF Breeder pistol. And the LNC Stealthsuit mod, just because it has to be done. :)

Considering doing Old World Blues while I'm waiting. Might be nice to have a few more tech advantages, and access to the Sink when I get the TARDIS. It would fit the character, and maybe explain why they know enough about tech to keep the TARDIS running...

So yeah, waiting in antici.... PA-tion!

Liam said...

I'm thinking of starting a fresh character when I install the mod, so I can work towards the Tardis, then I can feel like I've achieved it instead of sitting on an already level 15 character. I'll just have to wait and see. :D

onimale said...

Not only am I going to play this mod with a fresh save I'm gonna get a fresh download...

onimale said...

When I say download I mean the game it's self

Anonymous said...

Not complaining at all or trying to aggravate you guys. But if this mod could be released in like 1 week or 2 all of my school holidays will be consumed with this mod :D so looking forward to it.

Dracony said...

Hmm, I am hoping for a release this weekend. Just a hope, not a set date, take all time you need Demmegy! And to all haters, either wait, or don't play at all. :-)

Dracony said...

By the way, are there some mods that don't work with Fallout Who?

Anonymous said...

I'm guesing mods that heavily change locations in certain ways.

Dracony said...

I currently got these mods:

* Electro City
* EVE - Essential Visual Enhancements
* Nevada Skies
* Official Pipboy Readius
* Wasteland Flora Overhaul
* Weapon Retexture Project - WRP

Will any of those conflict with Fallout Who?

Anonymous said...

I don't think so but if eve changes some items like the maniquin (as it looks clean in vanila) it could look a little out of place

Anonymous said...

Has anyone seen the rings of akhaten yet i loved it!

Liam said...

I absolute cannot contain my excitement for this mod. If this is released after my school holiday period, I will spend my school days focused on getting home and playing this more and more.

Unknown said...

I keep refreshing the page I'm stuck for things to do until this is released, so I'm thinking 6 shots of espresso in my coffee and sit here and wait

Anonymous said...

make a paper craft TARDIS and a papercraft dalek and matt smith and david tennet. I made a paper craft TARDIS it turned up bad the cool thing is that there is a tardis with badwolf on it and some others cheack it out

Anonymous said...

I'm with you oliver...
I am not sure how many times I've pressed the f5 button.

Anonymous said...

Kris, it might be a good idea if you check if some of the most top rated mods work with Fallout Who, and then write a list of those who didn't work. When you have time of course! Cause you are pretty busy right now.

Unknown said...

is there any intention of adding newer series in future episodes? clara could serve the purpose of hinting at how to solve puzzles etc, and outfits etc, is tennants coat in the mod at all? i love the new lok for matt smith

Dracony said...

I don't know about newer serirs, but the outfits are not included, at least not in wave one. Might be included in wave 2 or 3 though, expect the unexpected...

Unknown said...

Believe it or not anonymous I made a card tardis and k9 and can't finish the dalek its too difficult...

Dracony said...

Can we get a headsup on what your wroking on right now and the progress?

Anonymous said...

I'm guessing, bugs, bugs and probably bugs.
Patience my friends :)

Kris said...

Bugs ironed out, testers not reported anything new in a whole 24 hours (well, nothing immediately fixable).

Looking at final playtests now.

Horrible side effect of a visual glitch will be detailed in next post... but it really is worth it...

An Avid Fan. said...

I'm curious did you encounter more bugs with LCoG since Fallout 3 is much more unstable to begin with, compared to New Vegas.

Anyhow sounds like its coming together nicely, well done and the fan world of Doctor Who (bit cheesy but still) thanks you for your hard work and dedication.

Liam said...

So say a final playtest takes about 4 hours for each tester, would that mean we could see a release for this weekend? :D
